Off topic, I know, but years ago I proposed the UK railway modelling scene should devise similar date breaks like the Germans do with epochs. I think one of the UK mags uses some kind of period notation.

Back on topic now. Nick, I presume the various links will be made public nearer the time of the main event?

Didn't Hornby produce something along those lines ? There may have been too many categories though for Nick to have to deal with.

Would it therefore not be easier to have sub-categories for Locomotives, as 60+ years seems a long time for "Modern Image".
Category 1 - Steam
Category 2 - Diesel & Electric
