Weston Model Train Show January 2016

Currently I do not get to as many exhibitions as I would like but the one show I do attend is a little exhibition held in Weston super Mare in January and September each year to raise money for the Weston Hospice. I would also like to say at this point I have no connection with either concern just a satisfied visitor. Having also put out a recent enquiry regarding a back issue of the BRM the respondent reminded me of what a wonderful scale 3mm is and I did suggest a thread on WT for this scale as it seems all the others are there. One thing about this forum is the diversity of the scales and interest.

At this exhibition Mike Corp had his new layout Heybridge Wharf on show, what a fine model but I will leave you to decide. These are my pictures so I presume I am allowed to upload these to the WT but can someone confirm this is not an infringement as Mike allowed me to take pictures. There are other pictures of his layout on various forums but I just wanted to see if there were many 3mm modellers in the WT. I am not a member of the 3mm society at the moment but it is interesting how a certain model railway magazine seems to feature this scale on a regular basis.

Oh the other thing is I do recommend the show, there is always a good selection from propriety to specialist modelling. Keith Price and his team work hard for a very good cause.
