I'd settle for finishing any one of my numerous ongoing projects, but especially Western Rifleman.

I also have several more etches on my "to do" list (as well as supplying some of my existing etches to a couple of interested parties on this very forum).  :-[  I haven't forgotten you, but it's been manic here and as soon as I have news, I'll let you know!

Dan

I think you might have forgotten the biggest project!

Like some of you Lads on here I have various projects lined up, but the one I'd really like to complete is my LNER B12 4-6-0 in S7. I'm using a Connoissuer kit as a basis, although the chassis and inside motion will be virtualy scratch built.
And I'm bound to put it aside sometimes and refresh my brain with a wagon or two. That's if I find time between the commissions, and then there's the house to decorate...... and the Missus wants a ........... !  Oh well.

Carry on Lads

I don't really like making resolutions for completing stuff as I often get side tracked. By the end of a busy year I suddenly realise I haven't done half of what I intended to. For example I've just found an article on making a small 10mm diameter ceramic gas burner - http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/sutra573610.php#573610 - which has got me thinking about another potential project! I think I need a 48hr day!

If you're referring to a certain non-railway project, I've definitely not forgotten that, though it had slipped my mind that it might considerably interfere with actually getting any railway projects done....  :)) :))

Just been looking at Adrian's link to the ceramic burner. There are some very ingenious people about . I wish I was one of them!. The item on wax chucks was interesting to. Amazing stuff shellac, a friend who made clocks used to fix the jewels in with it.

3/  Persuade her indoors that it will be fine if I can just run a single line along the back wall of the dining room. This will enable me to run from the garage directly though and out into the garden, surely not a lot to ask  :shit:

ATB,  Martyn.

Best of luck with option 3, I think that you had better start lifting the floorboards and lay the track now.
Or say wont it be novel when we have guest round for dinner and a train runs through the dining room.  :))
Let us know how you get on.

Hmmm...... Where do I start?  For this year:

Finish the modelling room - started almost two years ago and abandoned by the original builder part done (but fully paid).   New builders starting tommorow!

Pay the new builders. Easier said than done.

Build a web site for 'Wadebridge 1860's' (also to be paid for in April).

Finally complete the 'P' class kit, of which there won't be a lot left at the finish having screwed it up so many times.

Learn to use my Unimat lathe now it will have a proper home.

Build some patterns and get to grips with resin casting.  Dare I also look seriously at etching?

Start the first year of my York University post grad certificate in railway history, in October. Been accepted.  :D  Still to be paid for.  ::)

Stay on the right side of Mrs PE.

Probably more that I can't think of right now.

Phil

Oh yes ... actually build (and finish!) 'Dock Road'.
