What wagons are these?

Bob Lumley (@Silverystreaks) has a wonderful gallery of photos from the late 1980s and a fair number are of the West Highland line - right time and right place for our modelling interest. I am trying to put together a summary of wagon types which were to be seen on the line in the late 1980s - my knowledge of the wagon fleet in the late BR period is poor so I hope that some WTers are able to offer information on what can be seen in the following photos.

* vans on speedlink service, June 1985;

* empty opens, June 1985;

* vans with Cl.37 408, post 1986;

* tanks with Cl.37 408, post 1986;

* ingot carriers;

* aluminium ore hoppers, May 1987;

* Railfreight vans, September 1988.

* Railfreight vans, September 1988. 3xVDA (white roof originally for Rowntrees chocolate traffic),VGA, OBA, 3xTTA, more OBA

I am not sure... look further down the order and there are some of the wagons with "intermediate ends", similarly here.

Thanks for pointing us to the gallery. It is a fantastic collection of images and reminded me how good the large logo livery looked in the highlands. I remember being disappointed to find 37 401 at Fort William in mainline livery, quite uninspiring in comparison with its previous scheme. I think it was 1993 when I walked the West Highland Way from Glasgow to Fort William then kept going to Mallaig, across to Knoydart, and through Glenelg to Skye. One of my snaps of grubby Mary in the process of 'weathering' her roof -

Thank you Andy,

I did not know about the re-purpose of the Freightliner flats - now need to find out what was done in the modification.

They're essentially ISO container flats, but at 30' (as there are only two per wagon).
