I've just looked down the layout list. I see Boot by Peter Kazer is attending, original La'al Ratty at 1/48. That's worth going to see on its own. I may be abandoning my stand for a while :)

Hi

Fun day at Wolverhampton.

Cracking little show. Yes, there are only 12 layouts, but not a filler among them. Nice venue, light with plenty of space.

Spoke to Andy York (Heyside should be in the January BRM) and Fred Lewis who gave me a heads up on some DJH 40 problems ahead.

Another day of enforced model making tomorrow......

Cheers

Had an enjoyable couple of hours at the show. My main reason for attending was to see Moretonhampstead and I wasn't disappointed! Also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Richard (Dikitriki) who was working on his EE Type 4 (Class 40) Bogies. Well done to the organisers.

The reality is that we have to put on a good show and try and make some money, as you can imagine, this can be difficult and the expenses have to be kept under control. I think we did well for a club with only 20 members or so, and I was trying to work out what the youngest age is in the club - lets say there are probably more retired than not. With clubroom expenses increasing and a small membership, a loss making show could really give us a problem.

Hopefully we entertained and I like to think that it is a friendly show with more of a social emphasis.

Thanks all for coming that did!

Tony
