I saw "Hi rail" in the title, & thought you'd suddenly gone for the American version of Hi Rail... :shit::shit::shit:

:thumbs::bowdown: or at least the bus doors opening! I wonder if the loading shovel and NCK crane have been 'got at' to work?

cheers

Splendid stuff. Having seen Giles' Denton Brook at Aylesbury, it shows what can be done with some inegenuity.

My only criticism is operators seem to forget how real vehicles operate. Instant reversal just isn't possible. It takes a moment to bring a vehicle to a stand, handbrake on, change into reverse gear, handbrake off and manoeuvre.

My other little niggle is steering. I know the mechanisms are being used for something they were never really intended for, but the steered wheels flipping from lock to lock in an instant breaks the illusion very quickly for me. Sadly, I don't have the engineering to work out how that might be improved.

You're absolutely right..... it's something I've always been aware of, and i should instigate some more Driver training!

The steering could be slowed down by using a 'servo-slow', intended for aircraft - but they're rather big (Very much bigger than the receiver!)
