I still haven't got to blackening the buffers or couplings for this but Chris has finished weathering the coal wagon and I couldn't resist posting a few pictures of it. The flash has made the rust colouring a bit brighter than it is in reality. The next question for Colin is do you want it coating in matt varnish before I send it (I will send them both together when they are done)?
Rob, It's up to you mate, personaly I don't usually varnish weathered stock but it's your call as it's your work.....which is looking very nice mate. Love Lane is being taken to the Brightwell meeting in April, all be it as work in progress so if anyones going please bring loco's and/or rolling stock to run or show. ATB, Col.
Great news Col, I'm looking forward to seeing how the layout is coming on and having a good catch up, ATB Mick
Only red at one end and you've probably gathered its never been found and haunts the place till this day ATB Mick
It's not being bought a pint you need worry about it's the tap on the shoulder and a brown envelope placed in your hand mate Col.
It's being held in ....................... Brightwell Short for Brightwell-cum-Sotwell. I can imagine a few company email accounts having fun with the village name..
More specifically it is to be held at the Stewart Village Hall, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Wallingford OX10 0RR. It is just off the A4130 more or less halfway between Wallingford and Didcot and will be signposted at the main road junction I am led to believe. Get there early if possible as parking is none too plentiful! Traders should include Laurie Griffin, Peter Hunt, Pat Legg and C&L (possibly represented by Len Newman). Admission is £5 which will include all the tea you can drink. I hope you enjoy the show. Richard
