At long last I have started work on the rebuilding of my small layout. This has meant relocating it from free-standing to a fixed position on the garage wall, the end result being another 300mm or one foot for those who like old money (like me) available. I decided to use as much of my old Neverwood layout as possible with the minimum alteration - some of you may have followed the 'Neverwood Chronicles' elsewhere in the past - then again, you may not have ........! The new layout will have a change of name and at present 'Noemoor' seems favourite.
The overall dimensions will be something in the region of 12'6" x2'0" when the additional carpentry is complete. Like it's predecessor, the layout will be laid in Peco SM32 track to allow the trouble free running of items with coarse scale wheels (standard scale if you prefer) such as my Ace Trains 5101 class 2-6-2T to name but one. As you may have already gathered, my approach is totally freelance with very broad parameters. I hope to run my layout using a Midlands based theme of a WR/MR overlap in the days of Steam and green diesels, with an alternative set of stock to run a mid 1930's LMSR option. It's all in progress and if it interests you watch this space. By the time of the next posting I have every hope that some photographs will be available. Until then - .
