As train watchers, we can only ever see whatever is adjacent to our position. This is how things look for model railway operators. A 'compact' Victoria could probably be satisfying just using the famous long platform, the through lines with Wallside bankers loop and a couple of tracks coming out from under the wood-clad covered area around platform 17 etc.

The suburban dead end section is really a job on its own with so much activity especially in steam days.
