The thread on number plates raised the question of small businesses using the home phone line to save cost. I used the relatively inexpensive BT option of a second number that generated a different ring. It wasn't perfect, your calls-out had the main number associated in 1471.
Yes I was with BT, don't know if other providers offer it, and bad luck if you still have teen kids that found out about it first! It did mean the wife could carry on getting supper ready....8^)
