I don't know how many of you could care less about Twitter, or non-railway social media but in the wake of the cancellation of so many shows - notably Ally Pally, but all the others, too - railway talking head, enthusiast (and model village book author), Tim Dunn suggested an online virtual model show on that particular social media platform.
Now I use Twitter quite a bit for work (mostly medieval handwriting problems, debunking duff history parallels in the news and muttering about cricket and South Eastern Trains) and it can be utterly toxic, but the hashtag #TwitterModelRailwayShow has revealed an awful lot of model railway activity and, importantly, an awful lot of joy. And we need a bit of that, finescale or (mostly) not.
