I have long dabbled with the thought that a layout should be approached in a way that allows the viewer to feel that they are looking at the model almost like a postcard, some of the best examples of this I have seen where a series of dioramas of LNWR subjects at the Conwy Valley railway museum the use of forced perspectives and height to force the eye towards the detail,
Wantage Town would make a good setpiece for trying to emulate those dioramas as well as stretching my own modelling ability.
I've never built my own track but now I feel it's time to get back to basics and do something that doesn't need huge locos or a vast space to really work.
