Hi All,

By chance I happened upon a set of etched B1 name plates for sale by DJH on eBay at £7 or £8 per set depending on what you buy

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/djh_gifts/m.html?item=283107208182&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

These are a set that I picked up for my Gladiator B1 these are really old stock because Walter Hodgson was the original proprietor of Piercy Models before DJH took them over. Despite their age they are really nicely etched plates with everything legible.

For anyone planning on one of the Finney7 B1's they might be worth a punt. Sadly they didn't have the plates for Harry Hinchliffe or I would have had them too.

At least I know where to go for some research material.

Mine have just arrived today mate  As long as they're never on the scenic side of any layout together it shouldn't be an issue:rolleyes:. When we both have a kit in hand i'll happily send anything of use your way mate. @mickoo has one or too photos on 1264 in preservation that will be of use as well:D

I was hoping for a set of plates for 61010 Wildebeeste, a very well know Hull B1, but it was not too be. I suppose i'll have to build two to make sure I don't miss out,

Mick

Hi Mick,

I got Wildebeeste because I wanted one of the earlier engines. I will be building two, one from my Gladiator kit and one from the Finney7 stable when it's released.

Edited to add, I have just re-inserted the image in the first post because it wasn't showing and when I clicked the link it took me to someone else's photo of some occupied arches....
