Looking good Mike, I am glad you managed to reel in the Mojo.

Despite an occasional wander away from the demo on both days I didn't even catch a glimpse of you at the show.

Hi Rob,

whenever I was around the demonstrating area, there was always a good throng around your table and then I got into conversation elsewhere and the days disappeared! I'll make a booking for Kettering.

I hope that the art exhibition goes well, must say I enjoyed the video.

Kind regards to you both.

Mike

Thanks Mike,

I was asked to demo at Kettering next year but I have had to decline due to a holiday clash. I am pencilled in for 2020 though -it will be my first visit to Kettering.

Hi Rob,

I saw the Northern Lights when I was working in the Outer Hebrides in 1963/4 - truly magnificent, I'm sure that you and Chris will enjoy them.

kind regards

mike

As mentioned in my S&T Inspection Saloon (in WR Action) thread, I have taken the Diag 1/551 off of the shelf and have produced a 'to do' list comprising some 17 items:eek::eek::eek: but that does include the painting etc. so hopefully not too long before the spraying mask gets some usage!

regards

Mike

Hi Mike I suspect that Norway in February may well be anything but sunny.:) The plan is to see the Northern Lights if we can so what it does during the day is really secondary.

Hi Rob

We were on the first non-Hurtigruten Northern Lights cruise on Saga Ruby in March 2009. It did rain - Bergen was very soggy - but when we went further north the weather cleared. This is Alta town centre - brilliant sunshine, Northern Lights at night - the daytime temperature went up to -15C when the picture was taken. So make sure that if your tour operator does not offer suitable clothing that you go well prepared.

Note the signs for the various shops - blocks of ice with the paper posters simply pasted on with water.

Enjoy Norway in the winter.

That's a pity - we were blessed with good weather north of the Arctic Circle. This picture taken from the ship moored at Alta - the lights don't look like this to the naked eye as our eyes do not see all the colours in poor light.

The photo is not that great - a handheld exposure of about two seconds and then post processed on the computer to bring out the colours. The reddish area is the land on the north side of Alta harbour. Apologies to Mike for hijacking his thread.

Regards.
