Otherwise known as Spam, Banter, and Bollocks.
Can we please refrain from posting SBB in other peoples threads, the OP may not wish for such in their thread, and there is plenty of opportunity to create a spam thread in the members section.
Its worth remembering that last weeks jokes are not usually as funny this week and that SBB will be deleted from threads without explanation.
We want to keep WT a place where you can ask sensible questions and have a reasoned discussion, whilst also having some fun. Its not an easy balancing act, so please help us by keeping SBB to a minimum in serious threads.

Thank you

Soz Guv! Probably one of the guilty ones, as my workbench output is currently none existant a little SBB is all I can muster at the moment. I shall have to start some modelling instead.

So can we get a "SBB" tag when we start a thread as I like a little SBB to stop myself taking it too seriously sometimes!

Adrian, as the OP you can take your thread in any direction you like ;), but it think it is a matter of good forum etiquette not to post SBB on other peoples threads. I dont think anybody minds the odd amusing remark, ( we dont want total hair shirt treatment) but when it becomes half a dozen or so then its going too far:)

Oh heck, only just been directed here and discovered the guidelines on SBB. The sooner I get down to some actual modelling the better - for everyone!

As you may have noticed I'm just as guilty as the rest of us. However I am pleased that you referred to them as guidelines rather than rules for that's what I believe they were intended to be.

I do acknowledge that the ethos of the forum can at times appear obscure to the newer members, even I struggle to understand the penchant for blue at times. It is something which I hope I shed a bit more light on when I get the time.

I can shed light on the BLUE thing It was an in joke that I wouldn't allow any thing other than BLUE loco's on my layout and if you check the early postings it's there. Jordan, Cynric, Phill, Marsa, Lancer, Ross, MTH who still says he is going to respray more than 1 of my loco's green and a few others had quite a laugh and it culminated in Cynric and Jordan ganging up and defacing my Avitar what a jape, it had the forum in stitches for weeks. I won't tell you what they changed my password too, but it was all taken in fun and believe me it's become part of the forum and kinda stuck.

I will add just a little more to what I wrote, It was not only me that started this it just kind of evolved and everyone who got involved added their bits to it and it became quite a laugh. I have added a few words in red to change the sentance to one that would more aptly sum up what happened

When I found the forum and joined over Christmas it just looked like there was a serious blue turf war going on

Wasn't until Adrian bumped this I had any clue what was going on.
