Hi has any anyone got any photos of the 2mm meeting from yesterday I couldn't go as the engine on my new van blew up last week (5 months old yes I've had it from new ) so I was unable to go .There is a short clip on RM Web of some of it showing a working shunting tractor (I know) if any one is able to transfer it to here it is worth seeing
Regards

Sorry - fully intended to go, even got the money out for my shopping list but in the end events got in the way and I couldn't get down to it, much to my disappointment.

I was there with "Modbury". Unfortunately, I only managed to take a few photos of my own layout before the show got underway.

Up (towards Newton Abbot) direction (signalman has been particularly lax restoring the Down Home after the Down Goods has passed it!)

Very good indeed Ian . Almost 'Thomas Hardy' countryside (except his was Dorset).

You wouldn't think it is N scale. It's only the long shots showing the fascia and timber work which gives it away.

As an idea I would suggest carrying the scenery and lighting onto the first few inches of the fiddle yard boards. This will camouflage the 'mouse hole' entry into the fiddle yards.

John, thank you for the very positive comment!

Dave, eventually there will be a tree or two in the hedgerow bounding the cornfield at the embankment end which I hope will disguise the mouse hole at that end, I didn't want to put the tree(s) in just yet though as I have the Up Advanced Starter/Shunt Ahead signal to build and install on the embankment and decided having a tree there would be an inconvenience at the minute. I might paint the traversers/baseboard top of the fiddle yards in something less stark than white in the end too as I think that will almost certainly help too.
