I think its hard to judge from a sound recording made outside as there are so many variables involved. I think it would sound totally different indoors, but even then with youtube compression etc i still think its hard to judge. I would fancy a bit of sound though :D

I was also impressed with the Lionheart pannier as you say it's the best sounding steam loco I have heard. DCC cost is a bit of a stumbling block for me, even with just a couple of locos it's the cost of another Western or a Castle.
