UPDATE TIME

@NewportRod asked for an extra hole, 17.5mm above rail, on the centreline, to assist with AJ couplings - I have added this to both the 0F and S7 versions

@daifly printed his on an FDM printer, so I imagine the text was illegible or non-existent - I have added it to both sides, so it will be possible to tell the S7 version from the Finescale one :))

Enjoy!

Hi Simon

I printed out several of the 'new' version on my FDM printer - 0.4mm nozzle & 0.2mm layers.

There's obviously some writing there but of my life depended on it I couldn't say what it says!. Indented text clearly doesn't print well. Extruded text might be better but don't waste time on it on my account!

Cheers

Dave

Mmm, not very helpful!

is says something like. 3’5 x 5’8 33mm gauge…

you could try the smaller nozzle!

I’m pleased this little print has proven so popular, hopefully folks will find them useful. I’m going to print up some of @martin_wynne rail filing jigs from Templot, and I would print some track gauges, but it seems that with carrot track, they’d not be much use. If folks want other gauges or jigs, 3DP is often a very good way of making them (and resin prints seem pretty useable at soldering temperatures, which obviously isn’t the case with FDM). I’m happy to sketch up something if anyone has a “want”.

my current modelling is wavering between the Achilles, and preparing 12” to the foot scale CAD of a GWR and an LMS signal lamps.

the second iteration of the 3DP chassis for the tender seems to work very well. I might make more progress on it tonight as ‘erself’s out gallivanting, and the CAD has become tedious.
