File jig for tiny cylindrical parts - File jig for tiny cylindrical parts

This little jig may help to plane the raw ends of tiny cylindrical parts. Choose the correct diameter hole (from 1 to 3mm) for a snug fit and choose the correct row for the desired length (0.2 to 3.1mm) of the final part. Keep the file flat on the surface to avoid extensive abrasion of the jig.

Prints nicely with a resin printer. The tiny holes may be problematic with a FDP style printer.

Dave thank you so much for posting a photo of the tool.

If anyone would be prepared to print me one then please do get in touch!

I'll happily print and send you a set - there are 6 plates in the set giving a range of filing thicknesses. I am experimenting with layer thickness at the moment but inevitably it considerably increases the print time. At least I can set and forget the print process then get on with something else.

If you PM your address details I'll put a set in the post to you, probably at the weekend.
