LNWR D1&D2 wagons.

Some of you might remember my scraps in the cupboard thread a few years ago. I am making four LNWR wagons to D1 & D2 . I must just point out that I am no Mike Osborne, his wagons are just amazing. Anyway a couple of photos of progress so far.

One of the Diagram 1s coming together. I do need to tidy up the process quite a bit. It is a little bit untidy I think.

Hi,yet another D1 , this is a big improvement over the last one (I hope)

ThD1 wagons are beginning to look like wagons. I have given them a light dusting of primer just to see if everything is OK. They do need corner plates but I don't have any plasticard the right thickness. I'm back in the UK next week so I should be able to get some.

There is still a lot of room for improvement.

Hiya Graham, the W irons are Mike Osborne, the axle boxes and springs are being printed gor me by a chap that is doing the LNWR roofless cattle wagons for me.

Nice John. Well done. I think you've missed off one horse hook?

You are doing better then me. I scratch built my first wagon - also an LNWR D1 - in about 1970. The first thing to make was the floor which I cut too short (good start!) so ended up making a bolster wagon instead. I still have it.
