Well in 2007 I boughr a meteor models Thompson L1, I finally finished it last week.
I painted it gloss black lined it with HMRS transfers as 57721, a GE Stratford engine.
I then sealed the transfers with satin varnish.
over the weekend I installed a TCS KA12 decoder, it runs so smooth .
The motor is a Canon and the gearbox a Ron Chapin bos.
Finally weathered it and I am pleased
Have a look on youtube.
I have also got other clips of my Westgtreen railway

Jonathon well Im glad you like it, the very worst job was lining it.
since doing this post I have chipped my J6 and a Ixion saddle tank. I need to bu two more chips, one for the J50 and one for an N7.
I also connected up my garden line that is going to DCC so foday was the first time I have had multiple engines on the track.
The N7 I bought as a runner off ebay but stripped it for a repaint.
well now Ihave finished the L1 the N7 will be completed.
.
I need to number some slaters vans and then Iam clear. This shouldnt take to long.
I want to work on my railway and also get back to the quads.
I built all your bogie kits and one body , ie the floor the sides and the ends.
I really want to get these going as they will really look great behind the L1 or the N2 kit Ihave.
Hopefully John Birch will come and have a butchers next time he comes down under.

I think the quads are going to be a lot or work, they are vasic and the instructions are to say the oeast less than basic.

My terminus station is based on Minories and I have called it Fieldgate Street runs parralel to Whiechapel Road E1 and is at the back of the East London Mosque.
I used to work in the Whiechapel bell foundry and fieldgate street wa opposite it.
it is my version of Moorgate on the widened lines a place I loved.

I took the l1 to a mates place thought you like the vid
Bodmin O gauge layout:

I need to adjust the motor position it is floating on the drive axle and I stop it moving with blu tak bur it moves and touches the body and hence the noice.
the motor is a Ron Chapin job on withca Canon motor.
it is nice to have a well made gearbox instead of the asian crap
