If you have titled your private conversations is that not enough info. as each conversation is listed under your own PM's ?
In theory, yes. In practice, the conversation in question runs to 43 pages currently, covering a mélange of topics and correspondence dating back several years. The forum conversation tool is the typical way I communicate with several members on WT, for better or worse, so conversations often run into multiple pages and cover different topics. I suppose we could all use email instead, but that's not the chosen path at the moment. Or we might be on Whatsapp except for my reluctance to use it.

Because conversations - including your own - are classed as Private Messages they are not indexed by the Search tool and thus they are not included in the Search function so no-one (including you!) can search them.

This makes sense, but thinking on it a bit more my intuitive thought is that the same code that establishes the status of a conversation as private could be used to drive or qualify search results. Which sounds a bit like what Adrian suggested for the query filters.
It sounds like Adrian has found a way forward and a change to the search capability may be possible. Thanks to all for the replies and to Adrian for implementing any potential updates.
