I had a right good tidy up yesterday and I have this lot of uncompleted projects, which I thought I would share as a kind of therapy session :))
First up this lot Class B and brake van just need a couple of minor details and some muck. the cordon has seized wheels, the GW open needs painting and the capping fitted to the top planks. Horse box needs W/M springs and paint.
Next row Tank wagon needs more major work but I have a Slaters set for the ladders etc, next horsebox needs finishing Parts ordered today
Next row BG tilt wagon needs buffers fitting and paint, 14xx needs final assembly, horsebox has some damage to the panelling, but my friend laser could sort it out

Next up JLTRT fruit D Body needs painting and I have to do something with the awful whitemetal steps which break when you look at themIMG_4922.JPG

Slaters 1/32 Milk tank, it just needs an etched coupling hook to be ordered...

IMG_4923.JPG

Yet another Western, needs paint and enthusiasm to finish the 9th one I have built

IMG_4924.JPG

MMP Catfish, cancelled commission, when the order was changed to a GUV. I just need to finish them.....

So the plan is that now I have shamed myself  I cant believe the excuses I have come up with for abandoning projects, so as discipline I shall work through this lot over the next couple of months
Feel free to comment, laugh or post your own......

Are you no longer an advocate of the scatter gun approach to modeling then ? :)) ;);) :D .......most of those projects do look fairly close to completion though ;):)

Any pics of the 8 completed Westerns for us to drool over see ?

Phill  .....who is currently looking (but only looking) at his 90% finished 121 :(

My gun is well and truly scattered :)) the tilt wagon is circa 1860's and the D1000 is 1960's. the consistency is the (Great) Western theme. some of them are very close to completion they just need a few parts, but you know what it is like.....
Ill see if I have some Western shots kicking about, I need to decide what this one will be, as I will be keeping this one maybe yet another 1011, or 1003 in green takes my fancy..

I'm not sure that I've got a shelf long enough...
Ive shown you mine.... show me yours...... :)) I also noticed the open has S7 wheels, I could paint it red....

That MMP tanker looks well tasty. Any chance of some close-ups please Cynric?

I have built three of them now, but i will be hanging onto this one, once the axleboxes are on and a bit of muck ill get some shots. I could do with the Fruit D etch though

An order for some buffers and bits with Slaters is being composed, this is all feeling very cathartic

Thanks Cynric, I look forward to seeing those.

You and me both! It's not been forgotten, but it's quite a way down the "things to do" list at the moment.

Shelf Queens ? well they've been and gone at the moment so apart from the boxes of kits all I have to offer are these, a G.W. loriot or lomac ( blimey one of them area 51 blokes has posted a Western Region wagon on WT:p now there's a novelty). This needs proper springing before I can go any further with it.
And just to keep you on your toes, a real green steam engine:cool::rolleyes::thumbs: from Mamod. She's been with me, most of the time on the shelf since 19.....can't remember:rolleyes:. waiting for a refit, needs a new safety valve. You'll note she's nicely weathered:D

Ooh that would be nice.
I suspect that was the original plan seeing as I primed it in red oxide the tilt wagon will get the same treatment

I spent an hour and a half on the N11 fitting springs on the other side and attaching the first rainstrips. Subject to a parcel arriving and paint drying on Regans yard im gunning for the end of the week in primer

Mine are more shed queens, here are the main culprits with one goatish addition. Agenoria Peckett blow up, stalled kit for Lowfit (got its own etches and everything), previously seen Manning Wardle chassis and potential light railway coach, extracted from Airfix "Old Bill" kit, the rest was made into a lorry. There's more unstarted stuff too:rolleyes:
