I received my new Tower catalogue the other day. Under Dapol it lists "an SR/BR tank locomotive, followed by a diesel shunter and then a small GWR tank loco". But just as interesting to me is the promise of "a range of electrically operated signals due to be released later this year". Is it too much to hope for Western Region tubular post semaphores?

I would have thought that an M7 would be quite popular among Southern fans ?Hmm, tricky one that. There aren't many SR tank locos that would have wide enough appeal to be worth producing r-t-r. Logic would dictate a Terrier, but with three (soon to be four) kits ranging from the 'buildable' to 'excellent' and with the San Cheng brass one I can't think it'd be commercially viable. Perhaps it could be an E4 0-6-2t, if only because I can't think of another SR/BR tank loco that ran on all three sections of the Southern...

Please don't believe all you hear as rumours must be treated as that until the catalogue is out, such is the movable feast that is Dapol at the moment.
To give an example, I'm now looking at 2 more O gauge items for production this year that I hadn't considered a few weeks ago, thanks to this wish list.
I can confirm that Tower haven't asked me to get permission to put anything on their website except the agreed wagons
I've asked Tower to sort it out immediately
Well if he is basing his production on RMWeb wishlisting then may the good lord have mercy on him. Please don't believe all you hear as rumours must be treated as that until the catalogue is out, such is the movable feast that is Dapol at the moment.

In truth I don't think I can make a convincing case for a Southern tank loco Steph
