Engine s and Sheds - useful sites for allocation details

In the long and distant I came across a website which gave details of all locomotives which were allocated to Eastfield depot in the diesel era  . Can I find that website now  ? Of course not :( !

What web sites exist which enable WTers to find which depots had examples of specific classes... or to list all of the engines allocated to an individual depot?

[This topic started as a search for Class 47s at Eastfield... the responses suggested that some of the internet databases could provide answers to broader questions, hence a change of title and a move from 'Talk' to 'Resources']

You can make a search by year and shed code. I made a search for ED from 1980-1989 and a fair few 47s were listed.
As you say, more than enough 47s allocated to ED to keep anyone happy.

Thank you Adam and Andy, that web page looks familiar. Never noticed before that there is a gap in allocation details from late 1970s to mid 1980s... and that Cl.37 408 is not included in the Eastfield listing even though the engine was adorned with a West Highland White!

Yet again WT comes up trumps and in less than an hour. Thank you all.

I've got most Platform 5 pocket books from that era. If you need any info let me know.
