Ah, but you haven't seen me at home ...Finally, at the WTers meet on Saturday, I got to meet Jordan... and there is no similarity between the profile avatar and the real-life Jordan. No big stick, no clamps, no tie! On t'other hand, the humour in real life is as good as comes through in the posts. A pleasure to meet you at last Jordan.

Purchases (successful ones that is) I succumbed to a very nicely weathered CSX Boxcar, and a cheap truck for my lad. I resisted another boxcar, but the chap on the Stand said there had been more US stock from the same Seller, but a couple of other chaps bought them almost as soon as they were put out. I missed a Soo Line box apparently.
Also glad to note how many of you were drawn to the Dark Side layout...

Great to meet up with members again. Had quite a long chat at the stand and also at the meet yesterday with Steph about his motor bogies etc.
Didnt get chance to talk to many at the meet but got a b"**"*king off the colonel and the sarge, so some square bashing is in order.
Sorry to hear about your detour Dan maybe you were thinking about all those bargains you got.
Dont forget Mickoo keep posting those ship pics , really enjoy them.
Managed to get some bargains although missed out on the Heljan 47 bodiesalthough i know that they all went to the right people ( WT'ers)

A rather low key affair for my wallet at Telford, some chequer plate for the Standard 5 I'm scratch building, some diamond coated needle files and sprung loaded tweezers which I suddenly decided I couldn't live with out LOL
Picked up two possible bargins, a pair of 'First Class' Mk1 (CK & BSK) coaches off the bring and buy table for £35 each, they look nice and are all brass bodies on white metal bogies, but other than that, I know nothing about their source (some one muttered Jim Harris at the show), quality or status in the 7mm Mk1 rankings.
The show was good (first time I've been), nice to meet everyone I met and I'm still struggling to put faces to forum names LOL and Sunday on the SVR was an added bonus with loads of inspirational and detail photos taken.

Had a thoroughly good time on both days and well and truly kna**ered by last night, slept well though.
Great to see everybody again + some new names/faces hope that you all enjoy your purchases.
Was well pleased with the new EasyBuild Inspection Saloon, looking forward to receiving mine in the not too distant.
Big disappointment not selling the Pannier, but when I looked at the display, my 'large label' which clearly mentioned DCC with sound (hence my price) was well and truly hidden behind the rather large tender of an American beastie and when I asked for the label to be displayed, I was more than displeased with the response, think I'll avoid selling via that route again.
SWMBO was well pleased with the little box that I bought from Parkwood Arts, so I have some brownie points building up for Kettering

Sounds like everyone had a fab time, certainly the most upbeat Telford for a few years, comment of the show was a couple standing looking at the display & wife says 'do we know this one?' follwed by hysterical laughter when it was pointed out whose stand it was ! (Identities removed to protect the innocent)

.....I came away with a GFYE 47 & GNYP Hymek .......did they go up to £40 each later?
Apart from the usual bits & pieces I also picked up another Toad brake a Peak, Southern Concrete Hut, GWR bogies & a rolling road (thanks Tim). The only major expense of the weekend for me was the radio control gubbins for the 'Hybrid Hymek'.......but money well spent for Withercombe
Great to meet up with Thunderers old & new. I would also like to add my thanks to Richard & Linda for the hospitality too

Well I went mainly for bits and with the sole intention of not knocking anything off tables this year, I the end I bought a peak body ( rather expensive) a Bachmann brass 25 some easy build suburban ends and Gresley bogies sheets of plasticard platform edges ( Dudley Port) and various assorted brass rod and plastic.

Interestingly, David Nicholson (S7 Chairman) was running one of these on the S7 test track late on Saturday. He has used the simple expedient of pulling out the wheels on the axles to achieve the required B2B. Apparently the flange profile is such that it also negotiates S7 pointwork without difficulty.
A whole new market opens for (almost) RTR S7!

Well, I finally made it home after a lengthy, two part, detour...
It was great to meet everyone; those I've met before and a good few new faces too. After a hectic Saturday meaning I missed the meet I was very pleased to make the Sunday one. I won't mention names in order to save myself the embarrassment of forgetting one or two key peoplewhich would be inevitable. Those I saw on Sunday will be unsurprised that my voice only just survived through to close of play. But it was very good fun, with a few bits and pieces to talk around I soon found myself in the thick of it.
I scored a bargain too. My sole purchase of the weekend for the princely sum of £2:
I assume this for the Class 25, but at the very least it's the basis for some experimentation.
Roll on next year!

Great day Saturday. Was at the Heljan stand by 9:30 and no amount of banter would get them to part with the very nice class40. So a couple of Heljan 47 bodies would have to do.
After elbowing my way back to the bring and buy, I picked up a Big Big Train set, GW rivet press and narrowly missed out on a couple of mark I coach kits.
Wheels, a brass brake van kit and a few bits and bobs cleaned me out by lunchtime.
The SVR on Sunday was good, but not sure how we missed the 52 light running though ?!

Really enjoyed meeting WTers, I still did'nt get to chat to everyone that I wanted to, as I had to fit everything into one day, and had to dive out of the meet for an emergency drink. Still mega thirsty after being under the knife. Spent a bomb on just bits and pieces.
Today managed to get access to 43106 to take a shedload of detail pictures.
