Hi guys

Just joined and thought I'd say hello and bit about me

My names Brian ,I'm a south Yorkshire lad from Barnsley and into the old railways around here especially the GC and LNER

I've just started planning my layout of a lifetime which will fit in my 22foot by 10foot loft

My new layout will be set in the 50's in the area around stairfoot
It'll be from stairfoot station to newoaks junction .there will be compression and they'll be some compromise but I should get a reasonable representation of the line
Its going to be very slow going but I'm in no rush lol

Hello Brian, and welcome aboard!

What scale is your layout going to be? It sounds very interesting, and hopefully you'll take plenty of pictures as construction takes place.

Thanks it's 00 gauge
I'll try get some pics up once it's underway ,It'll be quite slow going but once I get the boards up I'll try make stready progress

I was modelling in n gauge last year with a layout but it was just something made up.i lost my enthusiasm for the hobby until I realised I could model stairfoot,it was like model the place I want or not at all lol
