Looks good Phill, what make of kit is it?

I went to the show today, and I have to say it was the best Ponte show I've ever been to, with plenty of blue diesel layouts. I especially enjoyed Oldham King Street Parcels in 7mm, which I've not seen before. Great to have a chat to Ian (Pennine MC) and Brian from Shawplan too.

It's a Post War Prototypes,RJH,Wagon & Carriage Works or Nigel Stanley (all the same kit ) , which I believe may be still available from PRMRP
I do hope you badgered Brian at Shawplan with your 7mm wishlist (sorry for using the forum swear word )

Erm, help, how, exactly..??!!?? The Soo Line didn't name it's locos. Progressive Rail have a Switcher called "City of Lakeville", and until 2008 the Minnesota Commercial Railway had a loco called "City of Bayport" but I'm not sure what use that info is here.......

Yes I must admit I kept finding myself drawn back to that layout.............fully operational DCC Breakdown Crane too & what an array of blue era DMU's & diesels to drool over too........40106 looked great too in that other colour as well

Hi Graham,

I'm afraid I have no idea what type of crane other than it being one of the big BR 76T cranes ? in BR yellow livery, it was on the 7mm layout mentioned (Oldham King Street Parcels). I didn't see it operate yesterday, but I did see the same crane re-rail a Grampus at Telford (2010 I think) on the layout Applethorn Jnc (if I've got the name right)

Only this one thats any good... the shallow depth of field can be a bit tricky. They are exhibiting this layout at Bolton though, so hopefully I'll get the chance to go and see it again

Spent a lot of time at Oldham King Street today, small but very good layout, I wanted a "dub d" running but got pushed out by this guy who wanted a 40 and kept winging about being late for his lunch .

Must admit, the 'clag' in that second pic is the most realistic "model" clag I've ever seen....

I thought Oldham King Street was an Ex-Ian Futers layout ("Percy St") that was a rather small Terminus... has the new owner extended it, then, or is this a different layout altogether..??

Great to meet you too Phill, and also Ant and Old Buffer who touched base during the afternoon. The show itself is one of those nice 'middling' ones, and from an exhibitor's perspective it was friendly and well run.
