Another loss to the country, which was said at the time.
The views in the 2nd film of the inside of an open wagon were good, showing the vertical planking at the headboard end (4min 50sec)

Interesting views of the derailment and recovery in the third film... If they had derailments on the prototype, with fully-sprung ("compensated"!!) and properly weighted stock, is it any wonder that we get them on model railways...?? ... and more to the point, why is it seen as such a "Bad Thing" anyway, especially by the Self-Appointed Exhibition Experts..??
I had a derailment on my loft layout the other day... a loco unexpectedly derailed at a turnout frog. Turned out that a coupler trip-pin had fallen from it's coupler and lodged in the vee. As I pulled the loco back and found out the reason for the derailment, it became almost a pleasure to watch..!!! (Or am I just strange??
)
Now I have to find out which boxcar is missing a trip-pin...!!!
