Hello peeps
Been away for a while but since moving back to London with the family last year there has been little modelling progress. I did start to build a 7mm turnout but have put that on ice as I really need to try and finish other projects first...Kyle being one of them
I have now redone the back scene for the layout and it now includes a complete new fascia which conceals some lighting...some further tweaks are required to the scenery including reinstating the bridge handrail and filing in the small white triangle where the back scene stops but it was test run after a 4 year period of gathering dust and it seems to still work ok.
I am now beginning to plan the fiddle yard and to help I built a mock up to test the principles I would like to employ. Sketches and ideas are also included here. It includes a small slot at the front for the tray to pass through and give sneak views of some of the rolling stock
I have just committed to exhibit this layout at the Burgess Hill Model Railway Club one day exhibition on Saturday 16 May 2015 so I had better get a wiggle on. It's first (and only) appearance was there in 2010 so 5 years on its had a few upgrades and hopefully looks better than its first outing.
That's all for now...
