Personaly I wouldn't use Brake fluid, Have you tryed Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner*? I find it works well, and is easy to clean off.

Which brand of brake fluid are you using?  The stuff that I use does not damage the paintwork, I thought that they had changed the formulation to prevent any damage.

It would be useful to know in case I have any disasters.

Ere Jordan as to what happens next does the paint not come off!!!! silly boy back to the back of the class with you withe a thousand lines I will not ask why paint stripper takes paint off
