About BRJ Index < Back to search

Background

Following on from the popularity of the Model Railway Journal Index and the Great Western Railway Journal Index sites, the British Railway Journal site was launched in late 2015.

The site is maintained by Chris Baker, a professional railway modeller, and it is hoped the site will prove to be a valuable resource for other railway modellers and BRJ readers.

Credits

Special thanks to Garry Cornel, Rob Pieroni, James Snowdon, Roger Willison and Bob Allison, and to Adrian Cherry and all involved with Western Thunder for their support.

Technical stuff

The original index and corresponding administration sites and their supporting databases were developed from scratch by Matt Ots, allowing everything to be tailored specifically to the task in hand rather than trying to hack an existing piece of software. Using Matt's original code, this site was further developed by Chris Baker to better handle the specials that are a very prominent feature of British Railway Journal.
