I may be from the North but I'm house trained..

Thanks to everyone for the welcome, all I have to do now is step up to the mark! To show some sort of evidence that I do model then here's one I made (and more importantly finished) earlier:

It's my intention to delve into my pile (stop sniggering at the back!) of half started (or half finished if you prefer) projects and select one to finish for your inspection but first a trip to Manchester beckons and so I will bid farewell

I'm so tempted to post that people do say that you have to wade through a lot of it to find the good modelling Over There, but we don't go knocking other Places here....;)

Hi DS,

the box is based upon plans for a GC Type 5 box which appeared in the OPC volume 'The Signal Box - A Pictorial History and Guide To Designs' and a picture of Wath Staithe Crossing box which appeared in the same tome.

It was originally scratch built for a defunct club layout (in fact the club went on to became defunct as well) but never became fixed to it so it ended up on ebay. At the time I was quite pleased with it, the two sliding sash windows did just that whilst I'd also fitted LED lighting as part of the build, but I got a good price so soon got over it....
