Love your replies, and the Deltic show just what can be done - very nice.

As for this latter comment, there remains much debate as to whether any such livery actually existed??? Wasn't it just a rail blue with SYE? Warrior and Empress didn't appear to be discernably different whether SYE of FYE from the colour shots I've seen...... but still a good one for debate!;)

Just a thought, but did Swindon actually have the Rail Blue paint specification when BSYP was applied ?
I'm just wondering if BR (WR) guestimated Rail Blue before the paint spec was made available ...........interesting stuff though :thumbs:

Made a bit of progress on the headcodes which now glow in the dark:cool:. Fibre optic runs are in place and the lighting tubes made ready to install...... but its a weekend off this weekend to support the Huddersfield Railway Modellers 2011 Exhibition in Holmfirth Sat / Sun 10 'til 5. I'll be taking my DCC'd locos along for display, but "Lydgate" will be running steam all weekend with year (unless I can prise 'em off for a while on Sat afternoon!)

Seconded!! That loco really does look good!

*thinks* ...... maroon.... EWS (a.k.a. Wisconsin Central) engines were maroon, with a gold band... wonder what a Western would look like in EWS livery.....:cool: :rolleyes:

.... then again, maybe not.......:oops:
