As well as "dreadful", I have been known to use "outrageous" and "awful" as well. But "dreadful" is usually enough to sum it up for me. ( as an aside, I've always thought that "outrageous" and "awful" would make good Warship names. )

When I worked at a company where I had the same truck every day, for ages I wrote in the dirt on the back "I'm not lost, I'm logistically challenged"....
Used to raise lots of smiles, it did....:)

I've always thought that "outrageous" and "awful" would make good Warship names.
"Awful" was one of the first words used to describe Wren's St. Paul's cathedral, but in a positive sense of "full of awe".
