I took the plunge today and formed the fire box to my relief it fitted the firebox front and back

That's coming along nicely - is that lump of metal by the tweezers a frame to link the boiler and firebox?

Hi Adrian yes it's the front of the fire box back of the boiler the small triangle shapes with the hole are used to line up the plates (4 of them) once soldered together they are removed and the hole is used to line up the boiler and fire box with a piece of tube that fits into the boiler ( does that make sense)

Hi I had to re do this side of the Lizzie tender as I didn't get the bend at the top quite right .The new side turned up the other day the steps on the rear of the tender are like dust particles
