For the past few weeks I have been watching the migration to Western Thunder and have finally summoned the courage to join.

Oi! there is mentioning colour with the deliberate intention of waking the blue brigade and there is mentioning colour to see just where a member sits in the world. I was referring to the multitude of green liveries which feature in that period of Southern Railway history which is contemporary with O V B as Mech Eng for that company, a reasonable comment as you shall agree.

At least some of us have heeded your suggestions on minimising provocative comments... indeed, if you have noted I did mention recently that a BR era wagon was going to be painted in a primary colour which is neither red nor yellow... and what did the blue brigade do? You can see that for yourself.

Actually, I do have a dark secret......I own a diesel-hydraulic and it is perfectly prototypical. North British D6300's were used on the milk turns to the United Dairies depot at Chard Junction -about 5 miles from Beaminster Road's supposed location.

Here is my D6300 and a photo of D6334 entering Chard Junction, if you look very carefully you can see the little Ruston on the far left of the image, I think that it is on the West Somerset.

What is the best method of replicating the headcodes, I have no idea how to access the panels or what to use as a headcode numbers. Finally, is 6B the only code, what would be the other code that is hidden from view?.
