Cant give any definitive info on the second two headcode characters, other than to say there would be some - probably identifying that specific trip working, so more akin to a 'route' code than an individual train number. I'm sure there'll be other shots of that working around the Net, but finding them is the thing.

At Exeter St. Davids and a few years later but I imagine the code would be the same. Actually, that's a really nice selection of pictures, worth a look at the rest of the set.
