I've been flopping a few bricks out the garden myself today, but my "rate of production" doesn't compare very favourably to yours

Interesting You have been busy. Is this brickwork for the railway to run ontop ?. What is the size of the curves at the other end ?.
All this progress in the garden puts me to shame as i hav'nt done anything railway orientated for ages

Hello Rob in answer to your question, no the railway will not run on top of the bricks the wall is being built to hold the soil and fence in place. The walls will be back filled after a plastic membrane has been put into the void then it will be capped off with hardcore and then concrete. then it will be back to the usual construction of 2x2's and then runners to support the 3/4 external chip.

The curves are about 8 ft in dia .

I enjoy bricklaying and find it very relaxing.

Nothing wrong with all agro's except hydro elastic suspension a gear box that was built for a cheiftain tank a brown plastic interior that when a hot day finally happened you burned yourself when you brushed against it Ask me how i know :scratch:

Another busy day in the garden with Roberto and co woodworking and showing progress on Tipton station, The station was bought along to judge where it will sit on the layout.

Hi Ian,
Great progress there mate . Another stupid question have you painted over the clout nails with the bitumin on the nearest boards and if so why hav'nt you done that on the last board ? ( is it down to you had'nt had the time yet )
I know this was a stupid question, but being a simple lad i need to get as much info about outside construction .
I look forward to seeing the next progress report
