3D Printed GWR Pannier Tank

Here is a prototype 3D resin printed G3 Pannier Tank, we printed as much as practically possible. Fine detail cannot be represented on the outside as resin is very brittle and would break of when handled, hence the detail in brass.

The engine needs a few tweaks and will come to life when painted.

That's most impressive! I'm currently 3D printing a G1 Class 08 but would love to have a go at the Pannier.

Are the .stl files for purchase?

(I only have a filament printer - but seems to be working well on the 'Gronk').

What is the finish like on the prints? Sometimes it can be a bit grainy.

I have used fk3D for some 4mm scale GER carriage bogies. No graininess and some quite superb detail, including legible lettering on the axle boxes. I posted a photo of one made up at post #95 on my Elmham Market thread.

Rail gauge is 63.5mm (2 1/2").
Scale is 13.5mm / ft - so near enough double the size of an O gauge model or about 3.5 x the size of a 4mm version.
