This is a Gauge 3 carriage bogie made by the late Ken Cottle. He said the design was copied from a Gauge 1 manufacturer and they run particularly well. Can anyone please tell me who that manufacturer is, as I am having problems understanding some of the design, especially the springing which is incomplete.
Using standard drawn aluminium sections and a sheet brass frame, each axle is free to twist, allowing each wheel to move on its own, on a sort of jointed radius arm and each wheel has its own coil spring. I'd like to see the original Gauge 1 design to understand it all!
Thank you.
