The grease pipes are probably 3/8" o/d (possibly only 1/4" o/d), whatever that is in 7 mm scale.

So 3/8" OD is 0.22mm diameter in 7mm scale.

Yes, 0.22mm is the correct diameter. I used 0.4mm until recently when I switched to 0.3mm, which as I said, is nearer to scale. I think 0.22mm would be very flimsy to work with and to me 0.3 is an acceptable compromise between ease of use and appearance. Each to his own though.

I have mainly used 5 amp fuse wire, which is 0.2 mm plated copper. However, I recently acquired some 0.2 mm brass wire which is much stiffer and better suited to longer, mainly straight applications.
For feeds from mechanical lubricators, I now use 0.15 mm soft brass wire.
All for 4 mm scale, of course.

I have now returned from what I think will be my last work trip to Taiwan (yes I know I’ve said that before) and thanks to @mickoo have replied one side of the frames. I tried both 0.2mm and 0.3mm wire and settled on the 0.3mm. Not perfect but an improvement on the previous effort.

Cylinders: unfortunately I have broken a drill in one of the holes for the oil pipes. I need to work a way around this.

You can remove broken drills/taps etc with Alum. I've done it, but cannot recall exact details offhand. It's easy, but not that quick.

Well, I never knew that! Only works in non-ferrous parts of course, but I put "remove broken drills/taps etc with Alum" into chat GPT and it gave chapter and verse along with a lot of Youtube examples (usual caveats of course ...)
