Hi Tom,
Thank you for posting up your tutorial, it has certainly given me a few ideas. The ready made armature’s I have been using are more for the 4mm market ( I think ) although plenty good enough for smaller trees or an orchard in 7mm. But I do need a few larger trees and I’m fairly certain the tallest Woodland scenics armatures are only 7 inches tall. So when I get time I will give your method a go and what is handy is that I’m also a keen fisherman and have loads of shrink tube in the shed
. I think the “ Tree in a box “ is the same sea moss that I use and is marketed by Squires under “ Forest in a box “.
