Hi
I joined up as a lot of the searches I am doing for 0 Gauge is ending up here. So I though I might as well join up and share the adventure
Just taken a part built N Gauge layout down that was in the garage and moving it into a spare room. In visiting Wigan last month for inspiration I was drawn towards some stunning O gauge layouts
So a bit of research later and I have an M&M Lowmac to hone my soldering skills. The plan was to build a loco after that and I settled on a Class 37. Well that is here and the components cleaned up. Whilst looking for the kit I wanted I came across Warren Shephard's site and the John Summers hoppers. So we now have tow of those ready to solder. The Summers hoppers have memories for me having lived in Bidston when the were running with steam haulage
Well that has put the next thought into place. The hoppers won't look right unless they are behind a nice black and sooty 9f. So now the hunt is on for one of those. This is where, now living in Yorkshire the pocket is starting to hurt, MOK are just about to release a new kit of a 9f, but can I justify the cost
I think a visit to the Huddersfield Modellers might be in order on Thursday night. Then next job will have to be a new workbench thread
Cheers Alan
