I've been laying track on my new garden railway. It's been quite a task and early on I kept having to lift and adjust the curves as even though I thought I was being careful, I wasn't careful enough.

The overall length is about a scale 1.25 miles so a lot of track to lay. I came up with the idea of printing track templates as I hadn't got one for a 7'6"radius curve.

This proved be exceptionally easy to use and using two together meant a good smooth curve without much in the way of effort.

It was easy enough and dirt cheap so I printed some for the straight to maintain an 80mm gap.
The result has been a smooth curve with only one adjustment needed since I started this after I'd laid the bottom curve cutter circuit.
