Hi all,

I have produced the floor plan for Scaleforum using QCAD, but the show manager requires it pdf form, the online help is way over my pay grade, any help in plain English would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

File - PDF export

Looks like it operates the same as printing.

Or if you’re on microsoft, print, set your printer to “print to pdf” and it should work - it’ll ask you for a file name (whatever you like) and location, (ideally on your computer where you can find it!)

Don’t forget to reset afterwards

Thank you gents, I probably can't give a go until Monday, as I'm out keeping my fluid levels this afternoon and off to Brum for the Ir
Iron Maiden concerts.

Well, I may have produced a pdf file, I can't open it, but I have sent it to the show manager and I await a reply.

Apparently I sent a blank attachment, so it's back to the drawing board, literally.
Don't know if you got anywhere with this but I just tried it using the toolbar icons only:

1. Print Preview button (printer icon with magnifying glass, but a bit difficult to discern)
2. Export to PDF button (file icon with PDF banner on it)

This gives me a Save option and viewing the subsequent file shows the drawing scaled to fit the current paper size.

I hope this helps, if not please come bask and ask again!

Hi Chris,

Andrew has asked me to try a dxf, as he has a very old CAD program, I'm awaiting the results of that.

Thank you for your offer of help .
