Not quite warning plates topic, but can anyone point me to where I might get etched English Electric worksplates for the cabsides on my 37s and 40?

Thanks,

Ian.

SevernMill Nameplates.

Classes 37 & 40 are at the top of page 1 of that pdf File, but scroll down to the bottom of page 3 and there Chris has noted about supplying worksplates seperately. I used his North British ones on my Class 22.

A quick preview of the artwork before it goes off at the start of August, there are enough flashes for 4 locos (assuming there are 8 per loco!)
The access panels are some overlays for my JLTRT Western

Hi Cynric,

Looking great  Can I just ask about the relief holes which appear to be 2 per plate and down one side only - I'd always thought that there were 4 (one in each corner) but I could well be wrong about this?

Cheers,

Ian.

Its just the shot, there are four half etched holes giving the option of riveting a bolt head, using either the flush side or the half etch side upwards (which is my preferred option)

Ah ok! Great

The Access Panels are presumably for the cabsides? Are you doing a run of these too, please? It seems Rob and I (and several others!) have a fleet we want to get just right! ;)

BTW they are small each plate is 3.21mm x 4.67mm and they will be in 8thou brass which is why they are in sticks of four. Hopefully it will make handling a bit easier.
Next little project is some WIrons for the JLTRT 12t vans...... also on the todo list Wirons for the Slaters milk tank and the siphon body.....

The access panels will be on the same fret, so yes they will be available. they will be half etched 8 thou (ie 4thou) so they will just stand slightly proud as looking at photos they were never really flush and by the 70 never straight!! :D :D

Those warning plates do look rather good Cynric  How do I go about ordering a set, and the decals too when they're available. Post would be a better option for me as I won't know whether I'm going to Telford until a couple of days before.

These would made a nice finishing touch to the 50 I'm doing (providing I ever get it finished of course!)

I will post an update here as soon as they are ready. Im not sure about cost, but it will just be sufficient to cover expenses and postage.

Ooh, now you could count me in for replacements for Lima 16t's  .... I was only looking at mine the other day thinking about how the brake gear spoils them. :headbang:
I have 5 complete ones and a spare body in need of a chassis...

On the subject of 16T mineral wagons, I pre-ordered a pair from Lionheart yesterday (S7, of course). ;)

In my 4mm days, I was very impressed with Bachmann's 16 tonner and since changing scale, I've often wished they (or someone else), would do its equivalent in 7mm - I think this is close enough.

Hopefully, I'll be picking them up at Telford, but apparently, it all depends on how quickly the ship arrives in Blighty and how quickly HM Customs can release them!

Regards

Dan
