Prototype All in a days work

I did wonder if the Box name in #118 was a philosophical comment.

In one respect I'm surprised the nameboard hasn't been whipped off and in someone's collection.

It does also reveal some of our industrial heritage as to what existed on or close to the site and obviously the name retained as it more than likely appears in working timetables.

Anyway it's another rabbit hole.... Middleton Vitriol works

These delightful pictures evoke many happy memories. It is a sad fact that many of the natural effects, such as mist for instance, cannot be re-created in model form, but we still have our memories of times past :).

Thanks Roger glad you are enjoying them, I’m now in my second taxi of the day heading back to Liverpool from Leeds, it feels like the M62 is part of our route card now :'(

Sorry for the lack of photos recently I’ve been on annual leave over half term and the mrs hadn’t been to good so not much free time unfortunately.

Here’s some photos on the approach to Edge Hill yesterday, nothing to exciting unfortunately but I’ve got five hours in York later so who knows! ;)

More nice pictures, thank you, Paul. Nice to see some 60's at work. I think the GBRf livery sits better on them than the Colas one - just my view :)! I remember many years back when I lived in the East Midlands seeing the entire class as it came in to service out of Falcon Works at Loughborough. Happy days!

Thanks Roger still quite a few knocking about, I quite like the 60’s and like yourself I remember them coming into service whilst out and about around Crewe. I seen 66779 Evening Star yesterday but not quick enough for a decent snap.

Thanks again

There's me thinking interesting new bogies then I twigged. NZ. Cool. Any further pics? The livery on those Mk2's is strangely familiar...
