It’s Quicker By TUBE..
#snailspacemodelling is the order of the season down here by the Tamar. Much setting out, and turning back. Or standing on the threshold and failing to be drawn onwards…
Still, I have succeeded in doing some things:
1. I’ve got a potential end to the PIPE. I’ve managed to concoct the correct brake gear for the LMS body (I went LNER originally, but their PIPE had more strapping uprights).

The last few days have seen weathering inside and painting (Vallejo and Ammo Mig acrylics) and numbering (Railtec and Pressfix) outside.

I still need to paint the chassis, and fit the coupling (not to mention make the pipe load). The last three digits of the number were my old clock in number at Redlers, in Stroud.
2. I’ve been fiddling with a LOWFIT. This was another eBay fixer.

The tractor is a charming little 3D print from eBay. It seems a line tractor is a bit of a cliche, so I’m going to swap it for a couple of Isseta bubble cars.. I still need to add the ‘NOT TO BE USED FOR CONTAINERS’ wording.
Cheers
