Like others I have just found this thread and have enjoyed bringing myself up to date with it, and it proves that you don't need acres of space for 0 gauge, also shunting is not as simple as it first seems.

Loving the photos and the overall scene.

Apologies if you've said already but could you give more info on the couplings you use please?

Photos of the fixing to the underside of wagons and also how you fit to locos would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I use LINCS couplings which basically consist of a steel rod bent to form the hook. This is then soldered to a pivot at 45 degrees under the wagon. When parked over a magnet in the track the hooks are pulled apart and separate. Just pushing together will allow coupling. Photo shows attached under a wagon with the pivot glued to plasticard spacers to bring the hook level with the bottom of the buffer beam.
It's not always easy to find a place under locos depending on location of chassis to body fixing screws and some surgery can be required. I understand that these couplings are possibly no longer available unfortunately although I have a few packs to keep me going.
